Motorcycle Parts We Fabricate

Frames, Subframes, and Frame Reinforcements Custom frame sections, subframe loops, tail sections, and structural gussets are among the more technically demanding parts we produce. These components are load-bearing and must be fabricated to precise geometry and welded with full-penetration joints. We work in carbon steel and chromoly where strength-to-weight ratios are critical, and we understand the structural requirements that differentiate a reliable weld from one that will crack under vibration.

Brackets and Mounts Engine mounts, battery trays, instrument clusters, mirror mounts, fender brackets, and headlight stays are all bracket-class components that require accurate hole positioning, consistent bend geometry, and clean edges. We produce these in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum depending on the application and the client’s specification.

Body Panels and Covers Side covers, belly pans, seat bases, chain guards, and decorative panels in thin-gauge steel or aluminum are well within our sheet metal forming capability. We can produce simple flat panels or multi-break formed profiles depending on the design. For clients who need a clean, paintable surface finish, we can advise on appropriate material gauges and surface preparation.

Exhaust Components and Heat Shields Heat shields, exhaust brackets, and exhaust pipe flanges in stainless steel or mild steel are a regular part of our production. Stainless steel is the material of choice for exhaust-adjacent components due to its heat and corrosion resistance, and our TIG welding capability handles it cleanly.

Footpegs, Pegs, and Pedal Components Footpeg mounts, heel guards, and pedal extensions are small but precision-critical parts. Incorrect positioning affects rider ergonomics and safety. We fabricate these to your drawing specifications with tight hole position tolerances.

Custom and OEM-Replacement Parts For builders working on restoration projects or specialty builds, we can reverse-engineer worn or unavailable OEM parts from samples or measurements. Materials We Use for Motorcycle Part Fabrication

Material selection for motorcycle components is not arbitrary. Each material brings a specific combination of strength, weight, corrosion resistance, and workability that makes it suited to certain applications and poorly suited to others.

Carbon Steel The most common material for structural motorcycle components — frames, brackets, and mounts. Strong, weldable, and cost-effective. Requires a surface finish (paint, powder coat, or zinc treatment) to prevent corrosion in outdoor use.

Stainless Steel Preferred for exhaust systems, heat shields, and any component exposed to moisture or road spray where corrosion resistance is a priority. Harder to form and weld than carbon steel but significantly more durable in service. Our TIG welding capability handles stainless cleanly and consistently.

Aluminum Where weight reduction is a priority — body panels, covers, brackets on performance builds — aluminum offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It machines and forms well but requires different welding parameters than steel. We have experience with aluminum fabrication and apply the correct process settings for clean, solid joints.

Brass and Copper Less common on motorcycles but used for decorative components, custom accents, electrical brackets, and certain fitting types. We work with both materials for clients building custom or heritage-style motorcycles where these materials are appropriate to the aesthetic.
